Miracle Room

Summary

The Miracle Room was a spiral pavilion built of reinforcement bars and builder's strings. It was a study of the Dogon religious symbology and essential forms. We created a church of sorts, with the strings colours fading from reep red through orange to yellow.
It became a place for people to have a private religious consultation during the exhibition where people would write their prayer requests on strings floating from the ceiling.
It is an essential form, a spiral, which communicates essence in its most primal form. It was lectured about in University of Florida and cataloged in the 2021 Venice Biennale Book.
